The Melita Foundation supported the creation of a virtual 3D Royal Opera House of Malta, bringing history to life in a super cool digital way.

The Malta Hotels and Restaurants Association created a virtual 3D model of the Royal Opera House of Malta. This digital experience preserves Maltese heritage and is an element to boost tourism. The virtual opera house was used during conferences, allowing participants to enjoy events with key speakers, VIP guests, and musicians as if they are at the Royal Opera House of Malta. Such a project brings new life to Maltese history and makes it accessible to everyone whilst preserving our heritage in a unique way. By leveraging technology, this initiative offers a unique way to experience and appreciate Malta’s cultural heritage.

Since starting in 2020, The Melita Foundation has backed many projects run by different groups and backgrounds. From local STEM skills for school kids in the Three Cities to global stuff like planting trees, ESG awareness, teaching maritime law and conservation and ensuring our heritage is well taken care of.
