This dedicated transport will allow the team to bring interactive demonstration hives, educational materials, and awareness campaigns directly to schools, festivals, and community spaces throughout Malta. Crucially, it also powers rapid-response field operations, enabling the team to safely rescue wild swarms under the “Custodians of the National Insect” initiative, relocate colonies to protected apiaries, and carry out vital hornet-control missions to shield hives from predatory threats. It’s far more than just essential equipment, it’s a long-term investment in safeguarding our endemic pollinators, protecting our local ecosystem, and preserving an irreplaceable living treasure for decades to come!
