The Malta Map Society is transforming our rich cartographic heritage into a permanent open-air gallery, featuring 40 stunning historical maps meticulously reproduced on weather-proof ceramic tiles.. By moving these fragile masterpieces from dark archives onto durable ceramics, this project ensures that centuries of international cartography can finally be enjoyed in the open air without the risk of fading.

This unique exhibition is a vibrant journey through time for students, tourists, and locals alike, offering a fresh way to navigate Malta’s rich past. It’s more than just a display—it’s an open-air classroom that celebrates the cultural and artistic value of our islands, making world-class history accessible to everyone under the Mediterranean sun.
