Since its launch, the Melita Foundation has become a cornerstone of Maltese social investment, supporting over 85 projects. Its work focuses on four primary pillars:
The Foundation’s longevity was recently bolstered by a significant endowment from EQT Infrastructure following the sale of Melita Limited. Furthermore, the new shareholders, Goldman Sachs Alternatives, have pledged to maintain the Melita Foundation’s independence and mission.
Chair Professor Tanya Sammut-Bonnici highlighted the Foundation’s role as a catalyst for resilience, attributing its success to the collaboration between partners and volunteers. With a secure financial footing, the Melita Foundation continues to invite applications from organizations—such as the Jarhead Young Sailors Foundation—that align with its core pillars.
