Teatru Salesjan

Barra bid-Daqq, u Ġewwa biz-Zfin – A crisp and clever popup theatrical experience in a glass van that offers the opportunity to artists on how to reach the general public through different and creative ways bringing a smile whilst keeping everyone safe.

Barra bid-Daqq, u Ġewwa biz-Zfin – A crisp and clever popup theatrical experience in a glass van will benefit the local islands in different ways. Apart from offering an opportunity to local artists to start performing once again and doing whatthey love it will also serve as an opportunity to uplift the mood of the people and bring a smile during these times.

This theatrical experience will also expose art in a different way to people who normally do not attend the theatre and generate a therapeutic benefit thanks to the artistic engagement of those watching, improving health and wellbeing.

The main aim of such a performance is to provide a smile to anyone walking past, watching from a window or catching the event on social media. This is Teatru Salesjan’s goals to be able to bring joy, connectivity and hope to the people as well as to the participating parties involved.

Working together for a better future

Since our launch in 2020, The Melita Foundation has supported dozens of projects run by many diverse organisations. Project beneficiaries range from the very young to the very young-at-heart, from the the very local – such as supporting STEM skills development for school children in the Three Cities – to projects which will have an impact beyond our borders: supporting extensive tree planting; developing skills in maritime law and conservation; preserving parts of our heritage entwined with our diaspora.
