The Melita Foundation will be supporting the Heritage Parks Federation in the restoration of natural and historical grounds located in the Majjistral Park.

The Majjistral Park covers the coastal area from Golden Bay (il-Mixquqa) to Anchor Bay (il-Prajjet) and further inland towards Manikata. It offers insight into the Mediterranean ecosystems’ intricate beauty and Malta’s cultural heritage with natural areas, agricultural parcels, and historic buildings. Restoration projects led by the Federation at Majjistral Park include the restoration of degraded ecosystems, planting of indigenous plants, restoration of historic buildings including towers and WWII defence posts and opening a Visitors Centre for the Park.

Making a difference together

Since starting in 2020, The Melita Foundation has backed many projects run by different groups and backgrounds. From local STEM skills for school kids in the Three Cities to global stuff like planting trees, ESG awareness, teaching maritime law and conservation and ensuring our heritage is well taken care of.
