Frame Football Malta

Kicking off inclusion: Malta’s frame footballers head to Italy to show the world what real team spirit looks like! With help from The Melita Foundation, Frame Football Malta is heading to the “Torneo TuttiGioco 2025” in Italy – an international football tournament for players with disabilities.

For the first time ever, our young athletes will represent Malta on a European stage, playing alongside teams from over 34 countries. Using walkers and frames, they’ll show just how powerful sport can be in breaking barriers and building friendships that cross borders.

This trip is more than football. It’s a life-changing adventure for the players and their families, boosting self-esteem, social skills, and digital know-how. Kids without disabilities will also get involved through local matches and social media, learning about empathy, inclusion, and teamwork. This project proves that passion and perseverance can take you places—on and off the pitch.

Making a difference together

Since starting in 2020, The Melita Foundation has backed many projects run by different groups and backgrounds. From local STEM skills for school kids in the Three Cities to global stuff like planting trees, ESG awareness, teaching maritime law and conservation and ensuring our heritage is well taken care of.
