One of the important objectives of the eSkills Malta Foundation is minimising the digital competence and skills gap of IT professionals between the education provided and the industry requirements. One way of achieving this is by complementing formal education with recognised industry certifications. The eSkills Foundation is working with technology leaders towards this objective.
The eSkills Foundation have collaborated with the global cloud provider Amazon Web Services to bring to Malta three important courses, which will be provided to the job seekers, students, and employees seeking to upgrade their skills.
The Melita Foundation will cover the course fees for all participants, providing the opportunity to bring to Malta, learning programmes on cloud designed by a highly acclaimed technology leader. The courses will be conducted by a local education provider selected by Amazon Web Services, using Amazon’s learning platforms.
The courses that will be provided are:
- AWS Business Essentials: Aimed towards the unemployed or other interested individuals who would like to embark on an ICT career through this foundational course in the cloud technology. Having this certification will help marketing, sales, legal, and finance professionals to better interact with developers and other IT professionals engaged in cloud-related projects. And earning this credential is also a great first step toward the more technical certifications.
- Architecting on AWS: Is aimed at persons who successfully finished the above course, ICT students or budding young professionals seeking an in-road into cloud services. The course also covers how to create fledgling architectures and build them into robust and adaptive solutions. AWS Certified Solutions Architect is among the most valuable and highly sought after cloud computing certifications in the world today.
- AWS Business Essentials is designed to help business leaders, executives, and non-technical staff understand the advantages of cloud computing and build a cloud strategy to meet business goals. The course will review the business and financial benefits of cloud computing and the fundamentals of AWS.
